As a young dog Pippin came to class to work on:
Basic training
Lead walking
Engagement with her humans
Pippin has been attending class with both of her humans, and it has been lovely to watch her confidence grow over her weeks in class. Pippin achieved her bronze certificate! Pippin and her humans had lots of fun in class and now plan on attending agility classes.
Pippin has been attending group classes with us on a Sunday morning in Colchester. The outdoor venue meant Pippin got to practise her new behaviours around lots of real world distractions including wildlife, other people, and other dogs.
Some skills Pippin learnt in class include:
- Loose lead walking
- Handling skills
- Staying focused on her owners with lots of other dogs around
- Fun tricks
- Recall
- Impulse control
Thanks to her humans hard work, Pippin came out of classes with lots of new skills and ready for the next adventure. She will now be attending agility classes.
Although she is a small dog, Pippin had some behaviours her owners were finding a little challenging. In class they all learnt lots of new skills and have been able to build and grow their relationship in a really fun way.
It has been wonderful watching all their hard work, and we look forward to seeing them in agilty.
