Training Classes Suitable for Rescue Dogs

Overview

Coco is a rescue dog who came to Best Behaviour to help her settle into her new life, and work on her basic training. As a rescue dog she missed out on a lot of key training early on, and her owners really wanted to support her and ensure she got the best start with them.

Alongside her humans they have all worked very hard, and Coco has grown in confidence every single week! They have all been having lots of fun in classes and looking forward to practising their new found skills in the real world.

Process

Coco has been attending group training classes in Colchester with her humans. Thanks to our outdoor venue Coco has been able to learn all her new skills in the presence of other dogs, wildlife, lots of people, and other real world distractions.

Some skills she has learnt:

- Loose lead walking

- A lovely recall

- Engagement with her owners

- Fun tricks

- Progressing an emergency stop

Result

Thanks to attending classes with Coco, her owners have been able to help her grow in confidence, and develop the skills she needs for the real world. Her new skills have given her and her humans lots of tools to add to their toolkits to be ready to continue to grow their bond and continue working in the real world.

It has been wonderful watching her grow, and see her personality start to shine through.
