You may have seen on our social media pages that we were recently lucky enough to attend the Small Business Sunday award. Best Behaviour Dog Training won the award for 2022, and the whole team were incredibly excited to see the business getting recognition for everything we’ve achieved!
The #SBS award is created by Dragon’s Den star and businessman, Theo Paphitis. Each week, businesses can pitch themselves to Theo via Twitter and he chooses a select few small businesses from those who have entered. Only 0.8% of the businesses who apply, win, with over 450,000 applicants since the award’s inception. The award is designed to reward small businesses for their entrepreneurial spirit, passion and energy, with the winners being hand chosen by the Dragon himself. Winners of the award are able to attend the annual #SBSAward event, alongside other small business owners from their own industry and others.
Zoe our founder and Jen our head trainer headed up to Birmingham’s ICC for the event, where they were able to meet up with lots of other small businesses in the pet industry – many of which the Best Behaviour Team have worked with and recommended to you all in the past before! Networking with others in the industry and seeing the passion we all have for helping our pets and their humans was wonderful. The all-day event included numerous talks by business owners and entrepreneurs, and the opportunity to listen to, speak to and be inspired by people on the leading edge of small business. Any of you who have spoken to Zoe will know she is incredibly passionate and driven, and she was even further inspired to find new ways to bring quality, ethical training and support to as many dog owners as we can.
Best Behaviour Dog Training’s mission has always been to provide science-based, modern and ethical training to everyday dog owners, to improve dog welfare and help create wonderful relationships between dogs and their humans. We are so pleased to have the recognition of a successful businessman such as Theo, and with the award comes lots of potential future opportunities to bring more quality training and support to dogs and their owners around the country! Zoe has worked incredibly hard to build the business to what it is today and her continued dedication has earned her this respected award, and we are all excited to see what the future brings as we continue to grow.
