22/10/2025 - Dog Training Advice
One of the most wonderful things about dogs is that, just like people, no two are the same. Each has their own unique personality, preferences, and quirks. Some dogs are naturally outgoing, loving every new face they meet. Others are more reserved, taking comfort in familiar people and quiet spaces.
At Best Behaviour Dog Training, we celebrate that individuality. We understand that not all dogs are “social butterflies,” and that’s perfectly fine. In fact, it’s natural. Training isn’t about forcing a dog to fit into a mould — it’s about understanding who they are and helping them navigate life in a way that makes them feel safe, confident, and content.
There’s an important distinction between enhancing a dog’s life through training and pressuring them to become something they’re not.
Good training should never be about comparison or unrealistic ideals. It’s not about striving for a “perfect” dog, but about building a strong partnership based on empathy, trust, and communication.
When we respect our dogs as individuals, we help them develop confidence and skills that make daily life easier — without compromising who they truly are.
At Best Behaviour Dog Training, we see training as a lifelong journey — one that strengthens the bond between you and your dog. We teach in a way that recognises personality differences and emotional needs, ensuring both you and your dog enjoy every step of the process.
Because when we work with a dog’s personality, rather than against it, that’s where the real transformation happens.
Training should never be about comparison — it’s about connection.
And when you train with us, you’re not only supporting your own dog’s development; you’re also helping us continue our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and care for dogs in need — giving every dog, no matter their background, the chance to shine. 💛
