Puppy Training for Socialisation at Martlesham

Process

Olive has been attending our group classes at our Martlesham venue and has learnt so much already! She has covered a range of different skills in class, including:

• Recall
• Loose lead walking
• Fun tricks for enrichment and to develop her cognitive skills
• Engagement with her human around distractions
• Calm, relaxed behaviour in busy environments/around distractions

Result

Olive's humans signed up for classes because they know they needed to be proactive dog owners and build Olive's confidence. They wanted support with training to ensure they were getting Olive started on the right foot, and could work on her socialisation in a controlled environment alongside other new dog owners. Together, they have achieved exactly that and Olive is an absolutely delight in class - she is relaxed, engaged and a quick learner who has been able to excel at any new training task she's been faced with.

Olive's owners have loved watching her grow into a happy, well-behaved dog and say she is now a wonderful companion - exactly what every new dog owners visualises when they pick up their little bundle of fur and bring them home for the first time! Olive and her humans had a bit of a rough time when she reached her first season and experienced a phantom pregnancy, and they gained a lot from having support and advice from their trainer outside of class.

There is no doubt that Olive and her humans can now continue to enjoy their lives together and Olive's strong training foundation and good socialisation mean they will be able to easily take part in any activities, training-related or otherwise, that they might like to enjoy together. We look forward to seeing everything they achieve together in the future!
