Puppy Training at Ipswich Blue Cross Sundays

Overview

Olive is such a fun dog in training classes, super quick to pick up all of the behaviours being trained and has recently achieved her bronze certificate. It’s been a pleasure to be part of their training process and to see the progress made across her time in classes. Olive is planning to continue with her puppy and dog training classes, as well as participate in some of our masterclasses to continue working on the behaviours covered in classes so far. We look forward to seeing Olive’s future successes!

Process

Olive has been attending classes at our Blue Cross site in Ipswich.

Being an outdoor venue, Olive has worked on a range of behaviours around dogs, wildlife and other distractions. Some of the behaviours we have covered in classes include:

Recall
Loose lead walking
Emergency stop
Impulse control
Offered eye contact and checking in
General behaviours such as sit, down, stay

Result

Olive attended our puppy and dog training classes at the Blue Cross. Olive is just like most other young dogs, interested in and excited by the environment, people and other dogs. Working in a class environment has allowed her people to set her up to be successful, learning to listen and respond to cues at suitable distances from distractions before making it harder for Olive! Within classes she is calm and focused, and is able to offer eye contact, recall, walk on a loose lead, does an emergency stop, and many other behaviours, which her people have clearly been practising at home.
