Lifeskills at Puppy and Dog Training Classes

Overview

Robyn came to best behaviour as a young dog to attend classes and work on:

Lead walking

Socialisation

Basic training

Robyn and his human have worked incredibly hard in class, and it has been wonderful to watch him grow and become a lovely young dog. Because of his size, those great loose lead walking skills make everyone’s life so much easier.

With his human Robyn has achieved both his bronze and silver certificates, and is very close to gold!!

Process

Robyn has been attending classes with us at our lovely outdoor venue in Colchester on Sunday mornings.

Thanks to this outdoor venue he has not only been able to progress his training, but also practise with a wide range of real life distractions.

Some behaviours learnt in class:

-          Great loose lead walking skills

-          Handling skills

-          A great emergency stop

-          Appropriate behaviours around other dogs

-          Some fun tricks

-          Working on his recall

Result

Thanks to a real investment in her dog, Robyn has had the support of classes throughout puppyhood and into adolescence. This means that as he goes through adolescence he has already learnt lots of skills, and has had lots of practise being calm around other dogs. This is invaluable being a large, strong dog.

It has been wonderful being a part of their journey, and to see what a lovely young dog Robyn has matured into
